Despite rumors that the usual suspects - Pangu and TaiG teams – had
managed to get to grips with iOS 9.2, it turned out that our hopes for a
late 2015 release for a jailbreak tool were unfounded. The statement made by 3K Assistant, was edited and many were left wondering if iOS 9.2 would be jailbroken at all.
Thankfully, it seems there is hope on the horizon. Luca Todesco,
known on as @qwertyoruiop - an Italian developer has posted screenshots
of the iOS 9.2.1 beta working with Cydia – the jailbreaking app and
tweak store app.
The release puts to bed rumors that it was now impossible to
jailbreak iOS, however, even Todesco admitted that iOS 9.2 was proving
much harder to jailbreak than iOS 9.1:
