Method 1 – OTA Update :
In case you are on iOS 8 or any previous version of iOS 9, then you can update to iOS 9.2.1 via the over-the-air update. In case you are planning to jailbreak iOS 9.2.1, then don’t use the OTA method and skip to the next method.
  1. Firstly, connect to a WiFi network, as OTA updates may use a lot of data.

Method 2 – iTunes Update :
  1. Update iTunes in your computer to the latest version.
  2. Connect your iOS device to the computer and launch iTunes.
  3. Once iTunes has detected your device, select the device in the Summary section.itunes summary device select

  5. iTunes will prompt you that a new update is available. Click on Download and Update.

Method 3 – Manual IPSW Installation :
  1. Go to the links listed below and download iOS 9.2.1 IPSW firmware file for your specific iOS device model.
  2. Make sure that you are running the latest version of iTunes in your computer. If not, then update it before moving ahead. itunes update mac
  3. Plug in your iOS device to the PC or Mac and launch iTunes.
  4. Navigate to the Device Summary. Now press down the Shift key [ Alt Key on Mac ] and simultaneously click the Restore iPad | iPhone | iPod button. itunes restore
